Hey reader,
I’m exactly 3 weeks into my intensive Italian, already ~200 sentences in. See my blog post if you’re not aware of my challenge; long story short, I am undertaking a challenge to learn 1000 sentences of Italian as a kind of test.
I’m still at the early part, but I can already notice certain forms are more present in my mind when I speak. On the other hand, it still takes a fair amount of input and conversation practice (which I am also doing) before I feel comfortable actually communicating.
I’ve noticed this especially with comfort in things like using the subjunctive or just any of the more unusual verb conjugations. Part of it is I have focused more on structural patterns that differ noticeably from English rather than verb conjugations. I’d like them to be present, so verbs will probably be my focus for the coming month!
