Hey reader,

This week MondeLibrary surpassed 1,500 resources! Still plenty more to go. If you’re learning Italian, that language is well underway with a lot of useful resources, especially YouTube channels.

In other news, I’ll be heading to the Polyglot Conference Bologna in November this year. More info about it here.

🛠️Resource spotlight: Calibre

Calibre is a free ebook reader. Whenever I’m not on my kindle, I am using this to read. The reason I mention it here is that its built-in ebook reader has a neat feature: you can add a lookup panel that automatically translates whatever you highlight. You’ll need to modify the lookup panel a bit to add sources for your language. Here a screenshot of it in action for me:

I like to add Linguee and Wordreference as sources for easy context lookup too.

Calibre is also great for organising your ebook collection if you have a big one.
